My name is Michael Vreeken, I've been a developer/coder of many sorts over the past 15 years. I've explored numerous languages, including C++, Actionscript, Python and others, but have happily settled into web and android development.
Within the realm of web development I mostly stick to PHP Laravel for back end, and Bootstrap, jQuery and/or Vue.js for front end. I've used Node.js, Angular, and React with some success, but, personally, I find the most joy and productivity when sticking to Laravel and Vue.js.
More recently I've jumped into Android App development using java. Luckily this allows me to continue to use my back end programming talent for RESTful services and combine that with the convenience and user experience of a native app.
On the off chance that I'm not tinkering with some code you'll probably find me playing a video game or saving the world through Dungeons & Dragons.
An in-progress android app whose goal is to aid GMs (specifically D&D 5e) in creating interesting and believable NPCs (non-player characters), enticing plot hooks to provoke player action, challenging riddles and puzzles, and fun encounters to incorporate into their campaigns.
The eventual goal is to allow users to post their own content and have a voting system in place allowing users to rate the content.
A fairly minimal responsive portfolio site. I'm not the best when it comes to design, so aspects of this site are borrowed from other sites that I've come across and enjoyed.
My site has been through several re-designs, and I feel I improve with each iteration. I sometimes look back at my previous code and am amazed at how far both myself as well as HTML/CSS/JS have come. I can't wait to see what more the future brings to the world of web development
